The term sustainability now encompasses natural resources, the environment, social cohesion, inclusion and economics.
It is increasingly important to look at the sustainability of a project often, from the outset. Put simply, how will your project continue in the future? Do you need to have a 10 year plan for funding? Will it be self financing? Will you have sufficient volunteers in the future? Have you assigned a budget for running costs? Is there a plan to review the project at a later stage? Will the lease on your building run out?
