ASHBY & THURTON VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT
Ashby & Thurton Village Hall is a registered charity administered on behalf of the community by a management committee of eight, all of whom are trustees of the charity. Five of the trustees are appointed by user groups and three are elected at the Annual Meeting. Trustees serve for a year but may be re-appointed or re-elected for further terms. The committee has a secretary for day to day admin and a booking clerk responsible for hall bookings.

LOCATION
Ashby and Thurton Village Hall and Playing Field: is located in Ashby Road, Thurton, Norfolk. Thurton is located approximately 8 miles from Norwich on the A146.

Facilities available include:
- Main Hall - the large main hall can be used on its own.
- Kitchen - shutters at the end of the main hall provide access to a well-equipped kitchen and a counter area.
- Committee Room – a meeting room.
Chairs and folding tables are available for use in the Main Hall. Maximum numbers permitted in the hall are: 110.
The hall also has a Performing Rights Society Licence, which permits the use of copyright music both live and recorded. For events with a bar, or FOR which tickets are to be sold, it is necessary for the hirer to obtain first the agreement of the booking officer and then obtain a Temporary Events Notice from South Norfolk Council.
HALL HIRE RATES
REGULAR USER GROUPS REPRESENTED ON THE VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE (DISCOUNTED RATES)
£13 PER DAY (8.30AM TO 4.30PM)
£15 PER DAY IF THE COMMITTEE ROOM IS ALSO USED
£13 PER EVENING (5PM TO 11.30PM)
£15 PER EVENING IF COMMITTEE ROOM IS ALSO USED
If the Village Hall is booked outside of the regular booking, normal village hall prices are payable.
£35.00 per day and evening (8.30am to 11.30pm)
£20.00 per half day (8.30 am to 4.30pm and 5pm to 11.30 pm)
If hirers decide they do not want their normal booking this should contact the booking secretary as soon as possible. Bookings must be cancelled 14 days prior to the booking to avoid a charge being made for the booking. This time period is needed to give an opportunity for the hall to be rebooked.

Commercial & other Groups [includes Kitchen] rates available on application to booking clerk.
Booking
Copies of the terms and conditions of hire and the hire agreement may be obtained from the booking officer. On booking 25% of full fee to be paid. A £50 damage deposit may be applied.
The Committee may reduce rates for local charity events on written application.
Maximum attendance and seating numbers operate - 110.
