Two local lads of Sheringham will be climbing to the height of mount Everest on the 9th of November 2007 to raise money for a local charity ‘Nelsons Journey’.

Jacob Rix and George Phillips are going to climb to the summit of the local high spot known as Beeston Bump, 70 times each. This amount adds up to climbing to the summit of Mount Everest. To date the intrepid two only have one sponsor in the shape of local firm Carter Concrete who have kindly donated £100 pounds to get the boys sponsorship of to a flying start. The Boys are now hoping to attract two more companies that will be willing to sponsor the event. Ideally they would appreciate printed T-shirts to wear during the event and flags to mark the final accent.

The Charity ‘Nelsons Journey’ work with families and children who are bereaved. The scheme is very important to many children and has helped them to get there lives back on track after their ordeal. The charity also holds camps that the children can attend. At these camps the children can participate in many activitys including: Hilltop Adventure Park, a candle light procession and other fun things.
