As well as providing general support we have built up specialist expertise in a number of areas....
Access to Services
Whether you’re looking to bring people to the service or bring the services to people we have worked on a large number of projects around improving access to key services within communities.
We work with registered social landlords and district councils to help address local affordable housing needs.
Community Led Planning
We are the county experts on parish plans and other forms of community led planning. These offer an excellent way to identify the needs of the whole community, build understanding between different community groups and develop actions to benefit your community. Sometimes it is not about all the issues within a community, maybe just one so we can also advise on undertaking effective smaller scale consultations.
Here are some links to a sample of four Parish Plans. These documents are just to give you an idea of the range and variety of community led plans, and are being continuously updated by the individual parishes.
- Marham Parish Plan
- North Elmham Community Plan
- Weston Longville Parish Plan
- Kettlestone and Pensthorpe Parish Plan
Community Buildings and Playing Fields
A cornerstone of Norfolk RCC’s work, we have the only qualified advisory service for community buildings and playing fields within the county together with an understanding of not just the legislative framework in which they operate but also the unique and vital contribution that these facilities make to their communities.
Our experience with dealing with business models that look at more than just profit can help develop your ideas into viable community and social enterprises that are socially beneficial and financially sustainable.
Whether you’re thinking about a community shop or have another enterprising way to help your community let us know.
We can help you identify funding sources for your project and work with you to develop projects with firm foundations that are more likely to achieve funding success.
Environment and Sustainable Communities
Whether you’re thinking about the environment or the broader issues we can help you make sure our communities are still vibrant places for our children’s children to grow up in.
