Little Snoring Good Neighbours
Report for the Annual Parish Meeting 12 May 2011
Little Snoring Good Neighbours group have been in operation for over a year. We have a communal phone number which residents can ring to ask for help. Although we cannot cover every need we endeavour to do our best. We have several volunteers some of whom may not have yet been called upon, but their names on our books are much appreciated and I’m sure their time will come.
We have assisted with shopping, doctors and vets appointments, and the collecting of prescriptions. For hospital appointments there is a charge of 45p per mile plus parking fees. Other donations are gratefully accepted to help with running costs for stationery, insurance and phone top-ups.
Changing light bulbs, light gardening and other small tasks are well within our capabilities. Although no task is too small some such as chimney sweeping, roof repairs and building work, are too big.
All the volunteers have been police checked.
