HETHERSETT VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT
Hethersett Village Hall is a registered charity administered on behalf of the community by a management committee of seven, all of whom are trustees of the charity. The Parish Council appoints three of the trustees and four are elected at the Annual Parish Meeting. Trustees serve for a year but may be re-appointed or re-elected for further terms. The committee employs a caretaker/booking officer responsible for the day to day running of the hall.

LOCATION
HETHERSETT VILLAGE HALL FACILITIES
Hethersett Village Hall, which opened in 1994, is a modern, first class facility that can be hired by local residents, local groups and commercial organisations. Facilities available include:
- Main Hall - the large main hall can be used on its own or with the stage facilities.
- Separate Kitchen & Bar Space - shutters at the end of the main hall provide access to a well-equipped kitchen and a counter area suitable for an imported bar.
- Traditional Stage - located at the end of the main hall with lighting and audio facilities available and two backstage dressing rooms.
- Humphrey Back Room – a small upstairs meeting room.
- Car Park - free car parking space for 80 cars.
- Ground floor disabled toilets and baby changing facilities.
Chairs and folding tables are available for use in the Main Hall and Humphrey Back Room. Maximum numbers permitted in the hall are:
- Main Hall: Seating only (theatre style) 190.
Seated at Tables (cafe style) 110.
- Humphrey Back Room: Seating only 50, Seated at Tables 30
The premises licence for the hall permits theatre, music and dance events with use up to 23.30 hours Monday - Thursday, 24:00 Friday and Saturday, 23:00 Sunday. The hall also has a Performing Rights Society Licence, which permits the use of copyright music both live and recorded. For events with a bar it is necessary for the hirer to obtain first the agreement of the booking officer and then a Temporary Events Notice from South Norfolk Council. The Secretary and the Booking Officer hold copies of the Premises Licence for the hall.

*Reduced rate of £11.50 may apply for local groups who have a regular daytime booking.

Booking
Copies of the terms and conditions of hire and the hire agreement may be obtained from the booking officer. On booking 25% of full fee to be paid. A £100 damage deposit may be applied.
The Committee may reduce rates by up to 20% for local charity events on written application.
Maximum attendance and seating numbers operate - ask booking officer.

Blood Donor Sessions
Regular blood donor sessions are held in the Village Hall. Next dates for 2010 are June 9th and September 30th. These are between 1.00-3.30pm & 5.00-7.00pm. Appointment advisable, please call 0845 7 711 711.

PARISH COUNCIL
The Parish Council meets in the Main Hall generally on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7.30pm. The Council's Planning Committee meets in the Main Hall at 7pm prior to Parish Council Meetings and also on the first Monday of the month (subject to there being planning applications or other business related to planning). The Parish Clerk is available to meet members of the public in the hall on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am and noon.
