Anyone can hire the Village Hall – and anyone who lives in Hindolveston gets it at a discount! It costs £5 an hour or £40 a day for people living outside the village; and £4 an hour or £30 a day for Hindolveston residents.

Management Committee Member Sue Billings is in charge of bookings and can be contacted on 01263 862216. Initially a provisional booking can be made which will be held for two weeks – no longer. If a deposit has not been paid and the hire agreement completed within the two weeks, the date will scrubbed from the diary.

A refundable deposit of £50 is required for the hire of the hall by anybody, to cover damages or breakages. A Bookings Form must also be completed which explains Terms and Conditions of Hire, and the Fire Regulations.

Arrangements can be made with Sue for the hirer to see the hall before booking if required, and arrangements can be made with her for collection of the keys. Following the event the deposit will be returned after Sue or another Committee Member has checked the hall and confirmed that everything is in order.

When a firm booking is made that includes a request for a bar, the bar service can be provided on a voluntary basis by one of the Bar Committee.

As much publicity as possible is given to everything going on at the Village Hall, but if you're ever in doubt about what events are coming up you can check the "What's On" programme displayed on the noticeboard outside the Village Hall, as wells as on the main village noticeboard in the bus-stop shelter, and on this website. It shows every major event and booking that is known to be taking place during any given month.
