Toftwood Social Centre has been established for 32 years and is a non-profit making club for members and their children. Since 1st January 2010 we already have over 630 Members.

The recently refurbished bar adds to the friendly atmosphere. Members and their guests have a choice of two bar areas where low priced drinks can be purchased, including a choice of real ales. There is also a games room with a pool table.

Throughout the year there is weekly entertainment ranging from solo artists to larger bands or cabaret, which can be enjoyed by all the family.Food is available most Friday and Saturday nights and roasts available Sunday lunchtimes. Added to this during the week we have a Darts League, Crib League, Treasure Chest and Membership Draw etc see 'What goes on at TSC'

Relax, dance and enjoy the entertainment in our Dixon Bar, (shown on the left), or come and meet the members in our small and friendly Front Bar,(shown on the right), where you can watch the wide screen plasma TV.

Membership runs from January to December, although you can join throughout the year. The Membership Committee meet, to talk to new applicants, every Tuesday throughout January and February and every first Tuesday in the month after that. The cost of joining in 2010 is £14 for full members, £9 for senior citizens and £9 for Juniors (16 & 17 year olds). Application forms are available from behind the bar.

At Christmas time we have a Christmas party for the Senior Citizens with buffet and entertainment.

Charity

Throughout the year several fundraising events such as quizzes and discos have been held, many of which have helped support several different groups within the community. Some of the groups the club has supported over the years include Toftwood Playgroup, William Cowper Playgroup,Beetley Cricket Club, The Fred Nicholson School, Toftwoood FC, Toftwood Scouts, Roys of Dereham who were fundraising for a guide dog for the blind and Toftwood Junior School who were fundraising for a defibrillator. THE DEFIBRILLATOR IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY TO USE IN AN EMERGENCY (MAINLY DURING TERM TIME). The Club also supports and raises money for a named charity throughout the year.

Membership Application

If you would like to join Toftwood Social Centre just pop into the club after 1st January 2010 and ask for a membership application form at the bar. Just fill it in and bring it with you, along with the fee, on any Tuesday night 8-9pm, throughout January and February, starting January 2010. From March come along on the first Tuesday in the month, 8-9pm.

'Membership for 2010 is £14 for full members, £9 for senior citizens and £9 for Juniors (16 & 17 year olds).

AT THE END OF MAY THE CLUB DONATED £1,000, WHICH THE MEMBERS HAD RAISED, TO DEREHAM HOSPITAL AND ON SATURDAY 13TH JUNE DONATED ANOTHER £1,000 TO THE AIR AMBULANCE
